Record the displayed value, source URL, collection context and timestamp. Label values supplied by a user separately from direct browser observations and official documentation. A saved timestamp is not an exact observation time unless that timing was captured.
Calculated estimates must be distinguishable from observed prices. A platform’s support page is evidence of its stated policy, not independent verification of every checkout or regional experience.
Show the limits alongside the number
Unknown values remain unknown and are not treated as zero. Sample size, known-field coverage and collection context accompany pricing results. Different ranking algorithms, personalized listings and incomplete samples limit cross-platform comparisons.
A wide time range may be driven by one inexpensive room. It does not establish typical value, current availability or an overall winner. No numerical DesireMetric Score is published without a defined, supported method.
Keep updates traceable
Updates are manual and released as dated snapshots. There is no promised refresh frequency or live availability feed. The October 5 and October 7 private-price snapshots remain archived. Later rechecks and subscription evidence keep their own dates; the selected scenario identifies which records it uses.
Source records are checked for consistency and calculation changes are tested before release. Material errors should be documented separately from ordinary changes in observed prices. See updates and corrections.
Use AI assistance transparently
AI assists with collecting and structuring evidence, drafting explanations, building the site and checking calculations. It does not replace source attribution. Missing data, researcher credentials and user experiences must not be invented.
Any illustrative AI-generated imagery is secondary to the research and does not depict a sampled room or prove a platform feature.
Keep commercial influence explicit
Some platform links are affiliate links, disclosed before groups of offers. DesireMetric may earn a commission when you register or purchase through them. Compensation must not change recorded prices, remove limitations or manufacture a recommendation.

With your permission, we use Google Analytics to measure page visits, use of our tools and clicks on platform offers. Analytics cookies identify a browser for measurement. Google processes technical information about your device and connection; this is not an anonymous service.
We do not load Google Analytics before you choose “Allow analytics”. Declining does not limit the site. Use “Analytics preferences” in the footer to change your choice. We remember your choice locally for up to six months; analytics cookies are configured for up to six months.
We send clean page addresses and the referring website’s origin, not full URL query strings, fragments, entered budgets or selected interests. With your permission, we also send predefined campaign labels (source, medium, campaign and publication) from our promotional links. We retain these labels in this browser tab for up to 30 minutes of inactivity to measure subsequent platform clicks. Arbitrary query values are not accepted. Platform-click events contain the platform name and placement on our site. We do not enable advertising personalization, Google signals, session replay or automatic form-content measurement. We do not send account details or payment information.
